CACH has been running projects in communities in Staffordshire for more than 10 years as a partnership and have recently become a registered charity.
This is a unique opportunity to join a new charity that is building on the success of a well-established service. CACH has an exceptional reputation for creating a positive impact on people’s lives and the community.
Being a board member will give you a chance to build on the project’s success and shape the future of the charity.
What do we do?
We support victims of hate crime, hate incidents and discrimination.
We educate the community to help people question the judgements they make about others and think about the way they treat them.
We promote community cohesion, diversity, education and personal safety.
We condemn all hate crime and will only prioritise our services based on the needs of victims and the divisions that exist in our communities.
What are we looking for?
You should be reliable, self-motivated, responsible and compassionate. You should have experience or skills in one (or more) of the following areas:
- Finance
- Strategy
- Human Resources
- Income Generation
- Governance
- Safeguarding
- Communications
We want to establish a board with a wide range of skills, experience and perspectives. We will consider applications from all backgrounds and levels of experience. Previous trustee experience is not required.
The expected time commitment is six Trustee meetings per year (meetings will be held virtually or in Stafford), one full day strategy day and some ad-hoc committee work and training. Initially there may be more time commitment required.
We would especially welcome interest from representatives of communities affected by hate crime.
